Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday accused the BJP of conspiring to assassinate Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal fearing poll defeat in Gujarat and MCD and alleged the involvement of Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari.
Mr. Sisodia, however, insisted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is not afraid of such petty politics.
“Due to fear of defeat in Gujarat and MCD elections, BJP is plotting to kill @ArvindKejriwal. Their MP Manoj Tiwari is openly asking his goons to attack Kejriwal and he has a complete plan. AAP is not afraid. Their petty politics and people will respond to their hooliganism,” The Deputy Chief Minister said in a tweet in Hindi.
His comments came in response to Mr Tiwari’s tweet earlier in the day, in which he raised concerns over Mr Kejriwal’s security, citing recent allegations of corruption and “ticket selling” for the MCD elections.
“I am worried about Arvind Kejriwal’s safety as people and AAP volunteers are angry over the constant corruption, selling of tickets (for MCD elections), friendship with thugs and jail incidents. Their MLAs are also being beaten up. This should not happen. It will happen to Delhi CM…., ” the North East Delhi MP said in a tweet in Hindi.
