Dana White’s Power Slap League television debut has been delayed a week for less than four days before White Admitted to physical altercation New Year’s Eve with his wife.

A UFC official told ESPN that the Power Slap League will now debut on TBS on Jan. 18, instead of the originally scheduled launch of next Wednesday, Jan. 11. The UFC did not offer further details behind the delay. The UFC’s Instagram account posted a promotional video Thursday for the competition/reality show, “Power Slap: Road to the Title,” which has a Jan. 18 air date.

TBS has not commented on the New Year’s Eve altercation involving White and his wife. Neither ESPN, the UFC’s broadcast partner, nor Endeavor, the UFC’s parent company, would comment

White, 53, publicly apologized during an interview with TMZ on Monday. Video has surfaced of White slapping his wife Ann in the face after slapping her in the VIP area of a nightclub in Cabo, Mexico.

“You’ve heard me say it for years, ‘There’s never an excuse for a man to put his hands on a woman,’ and now I’m here on TMZ talking about it,” White told TMZ. “I’m literally not making excuses for this thing. It’s never happened before. It’s the first time it’s happened. People are going to say what they’re going to say, and that’s what it is. People deserve whatever they say. I deserve it.”

Anne released a similar statement to TMZ in which she described the incident as isolated. The two have been married for nearly 30 years and live in Las Vegas.

The Power Slap League is a new venture for White, who has rejoined forces with his former business partners Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta. The Fertitta brothers bought the UFC in 2001 and installed White as president. The brothers sold the company to Endeavor talent agency in 2016 for $4 billion, with White staying on as president.

A PSL competition consists of two men alternately slapping each other in the face for three rounds or less if knocked out. The Nevada State Athletic Commission licensed the league in October, meaning it is a regulated athletic competition in the state.
