Teenage Brazilian talent Andric will join Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee in July 2024, his Sao Paulo-based club Palmeiras announced on Thursday. According to Brazilian press reports, Real will pay 70 million euros ($75 million) for the 16-year-old forward, who is considered one of the brightest prospects in world football.
“Representatives of Palmeiras, Real Madrid and the striker have agreed this Thursday (15th) on the transfer of the player to the Spanish club in July 2024, when he turns 18,” the Brazilian club said on Twitter, adding that financial details were confidential.
He will thus become the third Brazilian teenage forward in recent years to sign for Real while still a minor, only to join the Spanish giants at the age of 18 to comply with international transfer rules set by world governing body FIFA. Vinicius Junior, now 22, signed for Real in 2017 before joining the club a year later, while 21-year-old Rodrigo put pen to paper in 2018 before crossing the Atlantic the following year.
