Regarding Pant’s condition, the wicket-keeper is scheduled to undergo surgery for a ligament tear sustained during the batter’s crash.
“Rishabh will undergo surgery and subsequent procedures for the ligament tear and will continue to be monitored by the BCCI medical team throughout his recovery and rehabilitation.
The board will make every effort to assist and expedite Rishabh’s recovery process and provide him with all necessary assistance during this period,” the BCCI said in a statement.
Pant has already undergone plastic surgery for the burns he sustained during the car accident. It will be several months before the wicket-keeper batsman is deemed fit to resume cricket duties.
